CAPABILITIES

Study Management

Studies are the precursors for the client in order to determine the project's viability. There are predominantly 3 study stages (i.e. conceptual, pre-feasibility and feasibility) each of which are individually undertaken to provide various flow sheet options and varying levels of Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimates.

Financial investment and confidence, generally requires the 3 stages of study to refine and validate the project scope and the levels of accuracy of the costs in order to secure project funding, both internally or externally.

The level of accuracy is predicated by the degree of engineering certainty, associated costs and the project timeline.

Project Management

Project management is primarily about efficiently and effectively managing projects of any description, for clients, whilst always providing transparency against cost, time and the availability of the appropriately experienced project management resources.

In the past some organisations were large enough to have an in-house project team. The majority of businesses now engage project management consultants to undertake the work.

Project management is not “Rocket Science”, however if the  correct experienced project team, procedures and or processes are not in place,  the project may incur additional cost and schedule impacts, and potentially end up as a failure.

Project Management Office (PMO)

Clients home office resources can be kept to a minimum by having access to Ridgehill Resources Project team and the associated capabilities, on an as and when required basis thus reducing overheads.

This provides the client with access to  the required procedures guidelines and processes, as well as an experienced project team. The start up of a project (i.e.the first 4 weeks) is the key to a successful study or project outcome.

As well as providing suitably experienced project management resources of one or more people, Ridgehill Resources can develop and provide all the necessary, bespoke, procedures and processes required to assist in the successful delivery of a project.

Operational Readiness

The team at Ridgehill Resources recognises the importance of operational readiness.

Early preparation for operational readiness ensures the operations team have early input into the  maintainability and constructability at the detailed design stage.

The progressive  handover of project/construction data  is critical to operational readiness

Where possible we  include the key operations team throughout the feasibility  study phase and then through detailed design, construction and finally execution, commissioning and final handover. This ensures a timely, smooth and seamless transition from construction to handover to operations.
