CAPABILITIES AND SERVICES
Whether you are considering delivering your project using either EPC, EPCM, Design & Construct, or any other form, our experienced team can assist in identifying the risks and opportunities of each so that you can make the "best for Project' decision for the successful and economical delivery of your project.
Studies are the precursors for the Client in order to understand and determine if the project is economically viable, and provides a revenue stream with profits to the shareholders. There are predominantly 3 study stages (ie conceptual, pre-feasibility and feasibility) which are individually developed to develop various flow sheet options and varying levels of accuracy of the estimate, to arrive at a bankable Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimate.
Most companies large or small believe they have project / program management capability in place. It is not until they start off on the project management journey they find that their systems in some instances are inefficient and not suitable for the tasks at hand which can contribute to a project failing.
Ridgehill Resources will facilitate risk workshops and include all internal and external stakeholders, at whatever stage of the study/project, to identify and mitigate any commercial and or project risks. As the project moves forward, the risks are managed and mitigated accordingly.
Project management is primarily about efficiently and effectively managing a project of any description against cost, time and the availability of appropriate resources, for client’s, as applicable. Some organisations are large enough to have an in house project team capability, whilst the majority of businesses don’t, they choose to engage project management consultants to undertake the work, as either as part of an integrated team or a Project Management Consultant (PMC), looking after the Client's and the project's interest at all times.
Successful contract and claim management is essential for the cash flow of any project and even more importantly, the sustainable growth of the company. It requires appropriate bespoke contract documents to be developed and drafted, with clear guidelines and processes for managing contractor monthly progress claims, as well as any variations in Scope.
The process involves the gathering of financial and operational metrics of the project, including any key assumptions. Using these as the inputs to the model will produce a forecast financial outcome.
Project controls are the data gathering, management and analytical processes used to predict, understand and constructively influence the time and cost outcomes of a project or program. The data gathered also assists in the measurement of progress and physical performance of your project. It is imperative that at the concept stage of the project that a suitable work breakdown structure (WBS) is developed that will see the respective activities being monitored through all phases of studies, including being the backbone of the CAPEX estimates as you move through the development phases. Activities and the corresponding WBS code can be deleted, costs can be updated as required and additional WBS codes can be included as required to suit the works.
Whilst Ridgehill Resources, has the necessary engineering and design management expertise across all engineering disciplines, Ridgehill Resources can, in conjunction with the client, develop the scope of work and subsequently manage any third party engineering consultants, ensuring a "best for project " outcome, removing any preferential engineering activities, whilst managing the progress and any variations in scope.
Ridgehill Resources invites the operations team to be included throughout the 3 study phases and then through detailed design and finally execution, commissioning and final handover. Early preparation for operational readiness ensures a smooth transition between the constructor and the operating entity, as well as facilitating ownership of the completed asset.
