Delivery Strategy Development

When establishing any project, the strategy adopted should be based on the principle of obtaining the best value for money  invested. Best value is defined as minimum whole of life cost, taking into account the impact on future operations.

Ridgehill Resources approach is that any delivery strategy should be based on the following key principles:

  • Safety, value and cost reliability are the key drivers for the Project.

  • Ensure the "Best for Project" detail engineering and constructability outcomes.

  • Build an accurate cost estimate based on the latest market trends or benchmarks.

  • Lock in key resources – i.e. Insist on the contractor's / consultant's “A” team.

  • Build early relationships with key contractors and consultants.

  • Investigate the potential of reducing contractual interfaces.

  • Investigate the potential to further reduce time, costs and risks to the Project.

  • Time and cost certainty subject to the project feasibility/delivery stage.

  • The management of design, processing, construction interface and cost overrun risk that may impact not only the project owner, but contractors, insurers and suppliers.

  • Established risk management procedures to address project risk on a continual basis including the proposed risk mitigation strategies.

  • Established and auditable management systems.

The team at Ridgehill have many years of experience and will assist project owners to develop and deliver “the best for project” delivery strategy.
